Winifred M. “Winnie” (Corky) Shell, 85, died October 8, 2010.
She was born on January 17, 1925 in Wakarusa, Kansas and moved to the Harveyville area when she was 3. She married William A. Shell on November 4, 1944 at her home. He predeceased her on September 21, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Sylvia (Green) Robbins Sr., two sisters, Ida Kirk and Jean Finlay and a brother Ira “Bill” Robbins. Surviving relatives include a sister Donna Lira and many nieces and nephews.
In honor of Winnie’s request, there will be a graveside service on Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. in Auburn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
