Larry G. Kimsey, 72, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at his home. He was born March 23, 1939 in Beloit, KS the son of Orville and Vivian (Dooley) Kimsey. He graduated from Simpson High School and served in the Army National Guard in Beloit. Larry was a Child Support Enforcement Officer with S.R.S. retiring in 2004. After his retirement he contracted as L. & L. Mortgage Services. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and always had a positive outlook on life. Larry loved his family, friends, and animals. He had a passion for cars. Larry married Linda Trussell on June 14, 1959 in Randall, KS, she survives of the home. Other survivors include his children, Lewis Kimsey and his wife Diane of Topeka, Lynette Acker of Pulaski, WI, Lee Kimsey and his wife Elizabeth of Topeka, five grandchildren, Kiley Mroczynski and her husband Skeeter, Baileigh Kimsey, Brandon Acker, Allyson Kimsey and Molly Kimsey. Two brother-in-laws, Jack Trussell and Carl Noyes along with his faithful dog, Roscoe, also survive. Cremation is planned. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home followed by a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date.
