Kiernan J. Rangel

Kiernan J. Rangel, 27, of Topeka, KS died March 17, 2017 at The House at Midland Care. He was born June 8, 1989 in Topeka, KS the son of Robert and Dawn (Rother) Rangel, Jr. Kiernan worked in construction and was an avid body builder taking great pride in his physical physique. He is survived by his mother, Dawn Rangel of Auburn, KS, his father, Robert Rangel, Jr. of Topeka, KS, son, Alexander “Alex” Rangel of Auburn, KS and a baby girl to be born in May. Two brothers, Xavier (Cortni Houghtling) Rangel, Zane (Sarah) Rangel, his maternal grandmother, Yvonna Bacon, Paternal grandparents, Robert and Carmen Rangel, Sr. his fiancée, Chelsey Betsworth, also survive. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Marcella Rangel and his maternal grandfather, William Bacon. Cremation has taken place. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 pm Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Following the rosary his family will receive friends until 8:00 pm. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 201 NE Chandler. Private inurnment will be at the Auburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
