Anthony J. “A.J.” Bostick, 26, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
He was born in Topeka, Kansas on November 27, 1990 the son of Frank Ortega Jr. and Karla A. Bostick.
AJ was a 2009 graduate of Topeka High School and attended Allen County Community College, Washburn University and was just accepted by the University of Kansas where he was going to study Aerospace Engineering.
He loved spending time with his family and especially his daughter, traveling, and working on cars. AJ was a boxer with the Golden Gloves in Topeka.
AJ is survived by his daughter, Ayanna Ann and her mother Aleska Kent, his siblings, Christopher R. Ortega, Bryan A. Bostick, Jonathan M. Ortega, Christian A. Ortega, Alya and Maya Crumpton, his step-mother, Angela Ponte, Grandparents; Maxine Ortega (Henry Adame), Frank Ortega Sr., Jimmie Franklin Sr. and Linda Bostick Franklin, Great Grandmother, Catalina J. Ortiz, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karla Ann Bostick in 2002.
AJ will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30th where his family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 31st at 12:00 noon at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
