Michael "Mike" Swader

Michael “Mike” Swader, 43, of Topeka, KS died Saturday, May 28, 2017 at the House at Midland Care. He was born December 26, 1973 in Topeka, the son Sandra (Busey) and Thomas D. Swader, Sr. Mike worked with his father at the family business, Swader Towing, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He married Jennifer Petersen on June 5, 2010, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Sandra Swader, a brother, Thomas D. Swader, Jr. and his wife, Christina, all of Topeka. Mike was preceded in death by an infant son, Bryson Michael Swader, on February 11, 2015, and his father, Thomas D. Swader, Sr., on February 9, 2016. He will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sacred Heart/St. Joseph Parish, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
