Paula M. Stadler

Paula M. Stadler, 82, of Topeka, died June 4, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Rushville, Nebraska on February 13, 1935 the daughter of Joseph and Nellie Rose (Peters) Kleve.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Paula enjoyed knitting, canning, gardening, reading and her faith and family were very important to her. She loved being a wife and raising her children and grandchildren. Paula was also a caretaker with her husband for Sister Georgette and Fr. George Klasinski.

She married Edward Stadler at St. Joseph Cathedral in San Diego, California on December 29, 1956. He survives of the home.   They had four children; a son, Kevin passed away on February 5, 2016.  She is survived Cathy Miller of Topeka, Ken Stadler and wife Pam of Topeka, Jeff Stadler and wife Bobbie of Meriden, and Kevin's wife, Shawn Stadler of Oskaloosa, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Pat Vincent of Tahoe Vista, California. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Theresa, Francis, Barbara, Lois, Gene and Margaret Ann.

Paula will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Joseph Restoration Project or Masses may be said for her at St. Joseph Church.
