Marilouise Smith

June 14, 1930 — November 28, 2017

Marilouise Smith, 87, of Topeka, KS passed away November 28, 2017 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. 

She was born June 14, 1930 in Fort Scott, KS the daughter of Emerson and Mary (Hooper) Young. 

Marilouise enjoyed time with her grandchildren, cooking, painting, and making all kinds of crafts. 

She married Dale L. Smith in Fort Scott, KS on June 16, 1946, He preceded her in death.

Marilouise is survived by two sons, Michael (Joyce) Smith, and Jonathon (Lorrie) Smith, all of Topeka, and a daughter-in-law Dr. Lorraine Krider Smith of Dallas, TX, the wife of Patrick, who preceded his mother in death, along with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

Cremation has taken place.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Saturday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Private family inurnment will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to American Cancer Society sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
