Terri Lynn Plakio

Terri Lynn Plakio, 62, of Topeka, KS passed December 4, 2017.

She was born March 24, 1955 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Theodore and Alberta (Simpson) Birch.

Terri was a manager in the fast food industry for over 25 years and did a great job managing her home. She was a Girl Scouts leader, and enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, and spending time at the casino. Terri had a huge heart, caring more for others than herself.

She married Alonzo Louis Plakio, celebrating 44 years together. He survives.

Terri is also survived by her children; Alonzo Plakio, Jr., Alicia Thomas, Mary Love, Harold Thomas, Joyce Plakio, Dominic Love, Francisco Plakio, Billy Henderson, Derrick Maultsby, Joshua Plakio and Kayla Plakio. A sister Toni Annette Shamlee and sister-in-law, Wendy (Kimo) Plakio, along with 51 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, a sister, Linda Simpson, and a grandson, Geovani Plakio.

Terri will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017, at the Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
