Margie Ellen Mark

Margie Ellen Mark, 69, of Topeka, died January 1, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Smith Center, Kansas on December 4, 1948 the daughter of George and Margaret (Turpin) Wells.

Margie was a 1966 graduate of Ruskin High School in Kansas City.  She attended Emporia State University.  She retired from public service after almost 44 years working for the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.

Margie married Monte Mark on July 6, 1973.  He predeceased her on August 16, 2003.  Margie was also predeceased by three brothers, Roy May, Gary May and Raymond Hunt.  She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Ron) Jordan of Topeka, a step-son, Leighton Mark and two grandchildren, Alexander “Alex” and Kendall Jordan both of Topeka, two brothers, Ronald (Jean) May of O’Fallon, Illinois, Larry (Helena) May of Topeka, one sister, Janice (David) Schrimpf of Jefferson City, MO and her three beloved dachshunds. 

Margie was cremated.  No services are planned.
