Dolores C. "Lola" Adame

Dolores “Lola” C. Adame, 93, of Topeka, KS died March 15, 2018 at her home.

She was born April 4, 1924 in Silac, Guenaguato, Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Eulalia (Vasquez) Chavez

Lola was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the 3rd Order of St. Augustine. She loved crocheting, gardening, playing bingo, cooking for her family and attending church.

Lola married Norberto Adame, Sr. on January 9, 1943 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1990. She is survived by three sons, Nobert “Blue” (Pat) Adame, Jr., John (Janet) Adame, Henry (Maxine) Adame, five daughters, Theresa (Julian) Flores, Anita Delci, Sandy (Leon) Hernandez, Juanita Adame, Lucy (Javier) Escalante, two brothers, John Chavez and Antonio Chavez. 32 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Caroline Adame, three sons, Richard Adame, Daniel Adame, Jose Adame, four siblings, Manuel Chavez, Sr., Joe Chavez, Macky Chavez and Grace Ortega. The family would like to express their appreciation to Alicia Adame Padilla for all the special care she gave to her grandma.

Lola will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:30 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or Great Lakes Hospice sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
