Joseph D. Konrade

Joseph D. Konrade, 66, of Florida, died Friday, March 16, 2018 in Topeka.

He was born July 15, 1951 in Topeka, the son of John and Charlotte (Dale) Konrade.

Joe graduated from Hayden High School and Washburn University and recently retired as an Energy Technology Program Specialist for the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his wife, Lori (Nelson) Konrade, his mother, Charlotte Noland, two daughters, Sarah Alvarado and Rhionna Anderson, five siblings, John Konrade, Peter Konrade, Michelle Singer, Barbara Moore and Julia Klass. Two grandchildren, Cruz and Charlotte Alvarado also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, John, two sisters, Geri Rose Konrade and Susan Ewbank.

A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter, Sarah, 5132 SW Brentwood Road.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Hayden High School Scholarship Fund sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
