Vivian Pearl Skidmore

December 14, 1926 — May 25, 2018

Vivian Pearl Skidmore, 91, of Topeka, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at Aldersgate Village. Vivian was born on December 14, 1926 in Liberal, Kansas, daughter of Earl Martin and Pearl Swenson. She married William Dale Skidmore on July 19, 1947 at Assumption Church in Topeka, where together they had two daughters. Vivian and William were the co owners of Jack and Jill Ice Cream Jeeps in Topeka and also owned Skid's Pizza in Topeka. Vivian worked as a para professional for the 501 Public School District. She enjoyed sewing, caring for her grandchildren, volunteering for Birthright and loved attending her Glory to God Prayer Group before her health started to decline. Vivian was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband William, both of her parents, and her three brothers, Jack Martin, Bill Hoppes, and Dutch Hoppes.

Vivian is survived by her daughters LeAnn (Paul) Sullivan of San Diego, California and Amy Lee (Jeff) Muller of Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren, Cory Sullivan, Shane Sullivan, Andy Sullivan, Megan Muller, Garrett Muller, and Jake Muller; and four great grandchildren, Abby, Liam, Owen, and Samantha.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
