Teresa Nadine Wright

Teresa Wright, 85, of Topeka, passed away on July 10, 2018 at Lexington Park Nursing Home.

She was born in Burlington, Kansas on July 9, 1933 the daughter of Clarence and Herma (Jasper) Decker.

Teresa worked as a Bookkeeper for Gremor Foods.  Her most important job was her family.  She enjoyed traveling with her son Jeff to dog shows all over the world.  Teresa and Bud never missed an opportunity to attend events for their children and grandchildren.  Her time spent with her family was her most cherished moments, and our fondest memories of her.

Teresa married Albert “Bud” Wright in Burlington in 1951.  He predeceased her on April 17, 2017.  She was also preceded in death by siblings James Decker and Barbara Tice, and a son, Bradley Wright.

Survivors include her children, Janice (Jeff) Amrein of Topeka, Jeffrey Wright of Tecumseh, four grandchildren, Angela (Cody) Blanck, D. Blake Cromwell, Lauren Amrein, Steven Amrein, three great- grandchildren, Carson, Kailyn and Mariah Blanck, a sister-in-law Mildred Decker, nieces and a nephew.

Teresa will lie in state at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 18th where her family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:30 A.M.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at 10:30 A.M.   Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
