Herlinda Anguiano

Herlinda “Linda” Zarazua Anguiano, 82, of Topeka died July 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 9, 1936 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Jose and Esther (Servantez) Zarazua.

Linda was employed by the State of Kansas and worked in housekeeping.  She also had previously worked for Seymour Foods.   She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Linda enjoyed playing BINGO and going to the Casino.  She and her husband would take daily rides together.  Linda was a great cook and enjoyed family get togethers and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She married Victor Anguiano in Topeka, KS.   They shared over 60 years together.  He survives of the home.  She is also survived by her children, Mary Vega (Kent Quarles), Victor Anguiano Jr. (Joe Anna Hood), Mona Lisa (Tony) Lang, Susie Anguiano (Joe Sepulveda), Jimmy Anguiano all of Topeka and twin sons, Felipe Anguiano of Omaha and Felix (Michelle) Anguiano of Topeka, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and her siblings, Jose, Daniel, Guadalupe, Ralph, and Vera Zarazua and Irene Flores all of Topeka. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Tony Anguiano on August 22, 2007, and by five siblings, Ruben, Delores, John, Benjamin and Jesus Zarazua.

Linda will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 17th after 4:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends until 8:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
