Juan de le Torre

Juan de la Torre, 87, of Topeka, died September 16, 2018 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.

He was born in Villa Guerrero Jalisco Mexico on May 24, 1931 the son of Simon and Maria (Frausto) de la Torre.

Juan was a member of our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He married Epigmenia Sigala on April 25, 1959.  She preceded him in death on August 8, 2009.

He is survived by his children, Elfega de la Torre of San Diego, CA, Martin de la Torre of Topeka, Juan de la Torre and wife, Margarita of Los Angeles, CA, Miguel de la Torre of Topeka, Helia Nunes and husband, Albino of Topeka, Maria Elisa de la Torre of Topeka, a brother Salvador de le Torre, sister, Maria del Refgio Sanchez de le Torre and 15 grandchildren.  He was prededed in death by two siblings, Francisco de le Torre, Maria de Jesus and a son, Jesus Manuel de le Torre.

Juan will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
